Itinerary

Day 1. Islamabad

Upon your arrival at the Islamabad airport, our guide and driver will meet you at the gate of the international arrival area. After exchanging greetings, they will drive you to your hotel in Islamabad.

Day 2. Islamabad - Skardu

Scenic flight (weather permitting) over the Himalayas and Karakoram. Free time in Skardu.

Day 3. Briefing Day in Skardu

Official briefing with the Ministry of Tourism. Final preparations and gear check.

Day 4. Skardu – Askole

Jeep drive along the Braldu River to the last inhabited village before the trek. Overnight camping.

Day 5. Askole – Jhola

Trek begins! Follow the Braldu River to Jhola. (6–7 hrs trek) Camp overnight.

Day 6. Jhola – Paiju

Hike to the base of Paiju Peak. First views of Baltoro Glacier. (6–7 hrs)

Day 7. Rest Day at Paiju

  • Acclimatization and rest day. Optional side hikes or relaxation.

Day 8. Paiju – Khoburtse

Trek on Baltoro Glacier to the rocky terraces of Khoburtse. (6–7 hrs) Camp with stunning views.

Day 9. Khoburtse – Urdukas

Continue trekking to Urdukas, one of the most scenic campsites along the Baltoro Glacier.

Day 10. Urdukas – Goro II

Trek through the upper Baltoro Glacier surrounded by spectacular Karakoram peaks.

Day 11. Goro II – Concordia

Reach the legendary Concordia, offering panoramic views of K2, Broad Peak, and the Gasherbrum peaks.

Day 12. Concordia – K2 Base Camp

Trek via Broad Peak Base Camp to K2 Base Camp and visit the famous Gilkey Memorial.

Day 13. K2 Base Camp – Return Concordia

Return to Concordia after enjoying the magnificent views beneath K2.

Day 14. Rest Day at Concordia

Enjoy a rest day for acclimatization, photography, and panoramic views of the Karakoram’s highest peaks.

Day 15. Concordia – Goro I

Begin the return trek along the Baltoro Glacier toward Goro I.

Day 16. Goro I – Khoburtse

Continue descending across the Baltoro Glacier to Khoburtse.

Day 17. Khoburtse – Paiju

Leave the glacier behind and return to the beautiful campsite at Paiju.

Day 18. Paiju – Jhola

Follow the Braldu River back to Jhola through familiar mountain landscapes.

Day 19. Jhola – Askole

Complete the final day of trekking and return to Askole.

Day 20. Askole – Skardu

Drive back to Skardu by 4WD jeep through the scenic Shigar Valley.

Day 21. Skardu – Leisure Day & Expedition Debrief

Enjoy a relaxing day in Skardu after the expedition. Depending on your interests, visit Skardu Bazaar, Satpara Lake, Kharpocho Fort, or simply unwind at your hotel. In the evening, gather with your guide and fellow trekkers for the official expedition debriefing and celebrate the successful completion of your K2 Base Camp adventure.

Day 22. Skardu – Islamabad

Transfer to Skardu Airport for your return flight to Islamabad. Weather permitting, enjoy one final scenic flight across the Karakoram Range. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend your final evening in Pakistan.

Day 23. Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Islamabad International Airport according to your international flight schedule. Depart Pakistan with unforgettable memories of the legendary K2 Base Camp Trek, breathtaking mountain scenery and the warm hospitality of the Karakoram.
