Itinerary

1

Islamabad

The tour begins in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital and one of its most modern cities. Though Islamabad is a relatively new city, it serves as an excellent gateway into the country and a place to introduce the broader context of Pakistani heritage. Visitors explore places like the Pakistan Monument, which represents the unity and diversity of Pakistan’s people, and the Lok Virsa Museum, where exhibitions reflect the cultural timeline from prehistoric societies to modern Pakistan. It sets the stage for understanding the roots of civilization that once flourished on this land.

2

Islamabad – Lahore

From Islamabad, the tour moves to Lahore, the cultural capital of Pakistan. While Lahore is best known for its Mughal-era architecture, like the Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort, it also plays an important role in this historical journey. The Lahore Museum, one of the oldest in the country, houses some of the finest collections of Indus Valley artifacts, including seals, pottery, tools, and sculptures from Harappa and Mohenjo-daro. This is where travelers get their first physical encounter with objects from the ancient past, giving life to the civilization they’re tracing. The city’s old quarters and historic streets offer a continuous thread from antiquity to the modern era.
